Hey my xbox broke about 3 months ago and i am just getting around to fixing it. the hard drive was messed up bad. i bought a new one and installed it. i went to turn on the box and it didnt work. io have no idea why. the HD was brand new. i dont know what to do. I AM A NEWBIE I DONT UNDERSTAND TACNICAL TEMRS if some one could post links to all the stuff i need to make my xbox work that would be gratly appreciated. i can install anything as long as there are some type of directions thanks matt
First of all, do you have a modded xbox? There are tons of great tutorials here, http://www.xbox-scene.com/tutorials.php You need to have a hard drive that is capapable of being locked to boot the MS dash. The hard drive has the files needed to boot the MS dash and run your xbox, so just slapping a new, empty, unlocked drive will do nothing.
