I have backed up 9 DVDs. I'm using a Pioneer A04 and Memorex dvd-r 1x media. 5 of the films have digital artifacts on first FBI warning frames/ or they're just dark. 2 of them play the studio commercial at the beginning of the film (audio portion only) at a fast pace (double speed). All 7 will go to the menu of the dvd once the "forward" or "menu" button is pressed, and then will play normally from that point on.
The only two (of the 9 )that play normally from beginning to end are from Warner Bros studios. Does this have anything to do w/ it?
