Hi everyone. I want to get a DVD recorder to record from the TV onto a DVD disc which I can then rip on a PC. Basically, I want to record songs from various music channels and then create my own compilation DVD discs. Can anyone recommend a DVD recorder? I tried it with a Phillips but had problems ripping from a DVD recorded from a Phillips recorder. Thanks for any help.
... I have a Lite-On LVW-5005 that I've been very satisfied with ... I paid about $240 for it, delivered ... Just recently, I've seen a Lite-On LVW-5101 on Sam's Club website for the very reasonable price of $140 !! ... Go to Sam's Club at http://www.samsclub.com and in the upper left corner, search for LVW-5101 and you'll see their machine ... (LVW-5101) ... Go to http://www.cdrlabs.com/articles/index.php?articleid=29 and you'll see a test on the LVW-5005 ... ... I'm not sure what all of the differences are, but I know that the LVW-5101 will only record on DVD+R and DVD+RW discs ... The LVW-5005 will record on DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, SVCD and VCD discs ... I guess it all depends on what you want and need ... ...
