I want to move files as cleanly as possible from cd.

Which OS you have? Alternative CDFS.VXD only works with 95/98 and probably with ME, but not with NT, 2k or XP.

If you want to move them as "cleanly as possible" I take it you mean unharmed by any conversions etc.

In that case CDFS.VXD is not at all the way to go.
