But now, a couple of years later, I want to change the DVD player. I mean, for a better one, that can plays SVCDs, mp3 and stuff like that.
But since the DVD/receiver is build to work on its own, my question is: is there a way to CONNECT other DVD player on my sony dvd/receiver?? So it can send 5.1 audio, etc, over the sony player?
In resume: do I need to trade all my HT system or can I just connect some kind of cable to a new DVD player, so I have new DVD player with old HT?
Looking at Sony's description of it I'd say you should be able to hook up a DVD player to it, but you won't be able to use an S-Video connection for the video. It has composite video-in and both digital and analog audio inputs.
