hi
I get to where it says obtaining ip address but the times out!!!!!
Can any one help??

Did you try using the "Custom" setting and manually specifying the IP address?

hey i was reading the steps and in the number 22 to check again it says

a connection error has occurred
a connection to the access point could not be established
check the security settings for the network and try again

connection name-connection 1
ssid-lestero1
wat do i do??

Did you enter a security key?
What firmware do you have?
Firmware 1.5 PSPs can not natively connect to routers that use WPA encryption.

he pplz i have had my psp for bout half a year and i got version 2.6
i folowed instructions for internet then i tested, it said time has ran out for obataining the ip adress or something like that...soo how do i get the flippen internet

Congratulations update 2.80 has just been released for the psp. With this version you get an internet browser so this is good news for those of u who dont have wipeout pure.With this update you can do the following.
1 You can now download video and image content under [RSS Channel];
2 You can now register devices via a wireless LAN access point under [LoactionFree Player];
3 You can now play AAC files with file extension .3gp under [Music]; and you can now play content saved in “Music,” “Picture” and “Video” folders on a Memory Stick.

alright wats his problem like that update been out for a while now and all the 2.xx fw had internet browsing and there are emulators that u dont need wipeout pure to use the internet so this guy should leave now lol

LOL u cant just enter in any DNS...u gotta enter in ur own
all i have is a modem n a wireless router(linksys) n no security n i got internet. but if YOUR connection has a security then enter in the key n the dns n stuff n u got internet on ur psp.(replying to whoever made the first post)

i found the best way to connect without using all of the security keys and what not was to simply take off the wireless security but keep up a seperate firewall that u cn buy in shops. might not wrk 4 u but did 4 me!

ok this is really wierd. i think i got my psp last year ever since then i havent been able to get to the internet.But yesterday i was at school andd i was playing with it and the browser really worked! is was really cool.Then when i got on the bus it stopped working.Im really confused how this works and sorry but your directions really didnt work.I tried connecting when i got home but it said connection error uccured i have no clue what to do.I do have internet on my computer at home and am i supposed to use the same I.S.P. as my house computer? it also worked at my friends house....so idk but if someone could really help i would really appriceate it. :)

oh yeah anther thing...when i was on the internet.....sometimes it said out of memory....does that mean my memory card is to small? i hope not cuz those are really expencsive lol another thing....i whent to aim.com and downloaded aim to my psp..but nothing happened....is there somwhere im supposed to go after that? wouls the messenger really work on my psp?
