Sounds like the rar file is corrupt. Check the download - if you torrented it, you can force a re-check to scan the file to make sure it matches what you should have downloaded.

I have tried 'Force Re-Check', double clicking on the file, 'right click' 'extract to ...', nothing seems to work all with the same error message 'No Archives Found'.

I normally use 'Extract Here' and it works fine.

If someone is able to point me in the right direction with this it would be most helpful cause there 6.5 GB I'd like to be able to utilize.

You might have a bad file. If you have rechecked it against a torrent, then the file was probably bad when the torrent was created, or a fake. Look for some information from the source.

Indeed, I've had files download before as .rars that were corrupt - for giggles I dropped it into mediaplayer and to my amazement a porno movie started playing - these torrent uploaders can be sneaky folk.

Alright I understand this thread is very old and spans over the years, but....I read the whole thread last night and some people mentioned my problem but a answer never came.
I recently downloaded a 4.5 gb torrent file that came in four parts that in in data.001,002,003,004.
I attempted winrar, unticked iso tab and added user defined .001. winrar says that its unknown format or damaged.
Successfully extracted a 4.5gb file with 7-zip though the file still just ends in nothing for extension and it states that its just a data file.
I then successfully joined the file with hjsplit and once again is 4.5gb .data file and for type it states joined file. I attempted to burn those images, burn iso through nero nothing, also attempted to mount to daemon, cannont get file to work, starting to think its corrupt. Just dont wish to re dl all over again if there is any fix for this
