k do this i have 3.400e but im sure this is ur problem shut off completly by holding power for 10 sec then turn on while holding r button and goto config then got no umd and make sure its disabled then exit then goto the umd in the game menu as f ur going to load it but dont press select and ake sure ur usb is set to auto and the bottome thing is enabled i think it is use umd dics or something and it should work

NO, the version we are talking about is 3.40 OE-A not 3.40. 3.40 OE-A is a custom firmware which has both the features of 1.50 and 3.40. Your version is probably the official firmware by sony so it won't work. You'll have to downgrade.

right, thanks. can i convert my 3.40 to 3.40 oe? what's the diff between the 3.40OE and the 1.5? how come everyone prefers to downgrade to 1.5, when you can do the same stuff with 3.40OE?

because of the Fastloaders and UMD Emulators and stuff like that. On 3.40 Oe it already has that kind of stuff alraedy built in. And it is like the lates Firmware but custom. Recovery menu and all the good stuff that comes on the regular 3.40.
