are there any lights on front? everyone i know whos flashed 300 on a clone flashed it over a week ago with no problems. what happened before the boxes stopped working

only the clone stopped it froze then everything went blank any idea wwhat to do

I am a new member and am looking for some help regarding my starview box??
I have somehow managed to shut it down whilst trying to download a copy of an update to it.
during the download i had the download % on the screen / then as soon as it finished the box just shut down and now i have a green light running across the front of the box and i cannot turn it on??
no-one seems to know whats happened!!
if anyone could help me or pm me it would be greatly appreciated cheers

its just a bad flash, nothing to worry about, just try again but make sure you wait until a box saying download complete appears

I too have a genuine box. I loaded version 3.0 recently and it worked OK. However, the channels were unwatchable as they "froze" every few minutes. The box came with version 2.90 loaded, this too caused freezing. I eventually downloaded version 2.57 and updated the box. It has been working perfectly for over a week now. Until a new firmware bug free program is released I am staying with 2.57

this hasnt been confirmed yet, i know lots of people with clones, v3 is working fine on them!

are they using the genuine 3.00 or the clone safe 3.00 there are two types

the clone safe is just someones attempt at a practical joke. its identical to the original v3, its just been renamed!

a few of them installed it the day it was released (27may) others installed next day, then day after etc.... all still working.

I flashed my clone box with the V300 clone version 7 days ago, its been turned off/onm and is still working fine after 7 days.

v 3.ooee does not attack all boxes , you guys have already been warned about all new update firmware that comeout , should not be up on fake/clones boxes,

Hi Everyone
I had a starview bout 6 months ago, after a few months I lost all the decent channels and the box just ended up in a cupboard...
After looking on this forum I realised it may be saved. I started by updating the software to 259. This did not work. I then heard that 257 is pretty stable and should do the trick. This is not working either. Can anyone give me some suggestions please...?
Also, what is the deal when it comes up with the Virgin media 'press red button' screens...?

the red button doesnt work
the 2.58 version is running again but if your box is an original download the v300 for originals or if its a fake theres a v300 for those as well some claim it will kill your box but ive been running it for over a week now without any problems thinks its some it will fry some it wont.

If the red button doesn't work, can you still get the channels that it sayin you need to press red for...?
When you say fry, do you mean dead, good for nothin, chuck it in the bin...?

Is it coincidence that the file size of version 4.0e is exactly the same as version 2.57. 4.)e is available from Maldiviandigital.com
