@all
Has anyone else been harassed by slysoft here lately. I am one version behind on slysoft and have it to auto start. And always have had it this way and have been behind before. I turn my pc off at night and now when I turn it back on for the last 3 days, when I open Firefox my homepage comes up and automatically slysoft.com download page pops up without touching anything. I've even downloaded the new version but have not installed. I actually think it loads everytime I start firefox. I have turned up dates off and believe it has gone away. But why would they change that and annoy me and cause me to disable a good feature that used to work properly? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

I get a pop-up bubble in my task bar notifying me of updates, but slysoft's website doesn't come up automatically. Then again I usually stay up to date on full releases.

It has stopped with the last update and i've change check for updates back on. Everything back to normal. Strange. I think I had a conflict by clicking too fast with openoing nero and disc inserting and being read by slysoft. Got the old not responding from both. I never did reboot after that.

Dear valued customer,
we would like to inform you, that a new version of AnyDVD
has been released. Here the list of fixes and improvements:
6.5.2.8 2009 03 12
- New (DVD): Added support for some new protections,
e.g. "Baader Meinhof Komplex", R2, Germany
- New (DVD): Improved speed of AI scanner with some discs
- New (DVD): Improved removing of prohibited user operations
- New: Power Saving will be disabled during ripping
- New: Status window indicates when AnyDVD is scanning a disc
- Change (DVD): Removing PUOs no longer removes angle change, if present
This prevents, that a "camera icon" is shown on some standalone players
- Some minor fixes and improvements
The update is free for all registered customers, of course.
Just install the new version on top of your current version,
regardless which version you have installed:

Okay I'm curious. Why do a clean reinstall of both? I bought myself and just update them and no problems.

my opinion is its a good idea to do a clean reinstall of the programs now and then (like every 3 or 4 months clonedvd doesn't update the often so a clean reinstall can't hurt.
NO i don't use cracked/pirated keycodes lol

I agree with Zoso, clean installs seem to get rid of many problems before they become major ones.
