    Hello,

I am trying to put old VHS concert VHS tapes to DVD, by first recording them to my Canon digital cam recorder. The problem I am having is the cam recorder stops recording a few seconds later do to a safety code on the tape. Is there a way around this?? I figure this is the best way to capture analog without much loss. I ahve tried many capture cards, but by the time they convert and everything, I see lots of video loss. Any ideas??

    Thanks JR

I due a great deal of transfers and restorations. If this is old video, you want to get the best possible quality, and can spare some cash - get an ADVC 300.
It has built in TBC or you can go a step down and get an ADVC 100 (no TBC)

I have an ADVC 300 and do the following:
    postprocess with avisynth
for more serious processing I use Premiere
Finally I encode to DVD with CCE
