Hello,
I'm having some troubles to play XViD coded movies like austin powers goldmember.
I have installed the nimo codec pack release 8 but that doesn't work. I get a green screen with blocks in it..
Does anyone know what to do?

Here, read the rules, you just directly violated by posting piracy related issues!

I am going to answer because its a frequently asked question.

First off, the file could be fake anyway!

Second did you try to get the xvid codec on its own. You can get it on kazaa or click software on this page and when the page loads, click Video Codecs and filters and look for xvid codecs there.

Ah oke thank you I'll try that..
But why is it piracy related when I have the original dvd?? That's fully legal.. I'm only referring to a movie which I am allowed to have because I have the original.
(file isn't fake btw)

Oh sorry, my apologies, its just that when people usually ask questions about particular movies, its usually because they download them and they wont work. You're right, it is fully legal for you to backup that dvd and no voilation of the rules to post about it.

Once again I appologise.

No Problem m8 :)

I have tried the codecs ffdshow etc. but that doesn't work. The strange thing is when I just installed windows2000 and 98 it worked properly, but after installation of winamp and some other programs it doesn't work anymore. And reinstalling is of no help either..
So I can reinstall windows but that's a lot of work..

Yess ! I Finally found a codec that works!!
People who encounter the same problem as I do, have to install NiC's XViD codec
It's located here : http://nic.dnsalias.com/XviD_Install.exe

Good Luck!
