Hi there, I am a bit of a newby, however, I'va tried about everything I've read on the forum. I am trying to hookup my xbox to my router. I made a straight-through cable and hooked both up. Nothing happens. I checked my cable, form router directly to my PC, that works fine. I've then check my router, internet is available on my PC. Could dit be possible, I have a faulty NIC in my XBOX? And if so, what to do about it? Can anyone help ?
Is your box modded? Is your xbox on the same IP range as your router? If your router is on the 192.168.0.x range, then your xbox needs to be on the same range, but different last number. Hope this helps
