liteon dvd recorder 5001 gives open dvdr which are not closable!

I recorded several dvd+r cmc mdeia and the recording was finished. Just the closing disc function won't work. I can't see the program unless it is closed but it simply refused to close. Any options?
What are the better options for dvd+r for this recorder that are cheap and recording quality is good?
