Nero Hanging on Windows XP Pro

I am using Windows XP Pro with a LIte-On 48x12x48 burner and it came packaged with Nero 5.5.9.6.

75% of the time it works great and then the other 25 it hangs on the lead in/out and won't stop for like fifteen minutes trying to finish. Only way to stop it earlier is to shut off the computer.

Anyway does anybody know why this happens and how to remedy it. This is the only burning program and only writer I have had on a three month old computer and have only started burning in the last month.

I have same problem but only when trying to use nero express or use CD text enabled. My drive supports it but...
