cdrwin 3.9b 3.8 recognizing cd drives, please help

I am trying to backup my ps2 games and I have a readme that says to use cdrwin 3.8. Well I downloaded multiple copies of both versions and can't get any of the version to recognize by cd-rom. I also have tried multiple cd-roms thinking maybe they where to new, so I tried old and new and neither will work. Can someone please help me with this?

I had this happen.. all u have to do is get a later version of cdrwin with the ASPI drivers included and it should work.
