I was being VERY STUPID, and I Unlocked my harddrive. I editted everything, then I FORGOT to lock it back up. I have a softmod, and now everytime I boot up I get the 05 - Unlocked error! So should I just throw away my xbox, or is there a way to take out the 10 GB (Retail) harddrive, and lock it back up with a normal computer (possibly a laptop)? If there is anyway to fix this, I WILL GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. THANK YOU!
If you have the lock codes, yes. Otherwise, get a modchip. I keep telling everyone that softmods suck.. this is why. You end up getting a modchip anyways.
I have the 5 files in the c:/backup on my computer. I also have the XBOX HDD PASSWORD, XBOX HDD MODEL, XBOX HDD SERIAL Is that enough information? Also what program should I use on Linux to lock the harddrive back up?
