frozen system

    whenever i try to launch dvd shrink my system freezes
    and cpu concerning shrink increases to 99%.
    this also happens when i try to use nero recode and other software as well.
    what is the problem?

    please help...i am desperate

    Sounds like you're in dire need of a memory upgrade or turn off some running programs.

    laptop HP omnibook XE3
    20 gb HD
    256 mb ram
    1.1 gh intel inside pentium 3
