As an old retired mod from some of the old DSS sites, I would like to suggest that you consider a "General Newbie" forum. You have a ton of forums, but they appear to be very specific to a "video newbie" like myself. In fact, I do have a question or two, but I had a very difficult time figuring out where to ask it at, so I just refrained from posting them. Sometimes, a newbie isn't versed well enough to even know where to start posting from. A "General Newbie" forums will give people like myself a "starting place". just a suggestion.
there are a few "general" forums, if your question gets posted in the wrong one, someone will surely direct you to the right location, then we can move the thread for you.
