TMPGEnc not liking file.....

    I have a file I want to convert to mpeg etc with the above programme but for some reason when I try to add it - TMPGEnc rejects it straight away.

    The file name in question is xvid but I'm sure when it tried opening in TMPGE it said file path was XVID.avi.

    Are there any other programmes I can use - I have DVD LAB but not sure if it can do the first process.

    that guide link isnt working unfortunately...... is it MPEG 3 and MPEG 4 files that TMPG doesnt like then??
