I got a big PS2 problem

Well for some odd reason my PS2 has been doing this very strange message whenever I put in a disc. It's reading the disc but for some strange yet fucked up reason it keeps saying "Disc Read Error". I don't like the sound of that. Especially since I bought a helluva lot of new games recently. So please someone tell me what do I do?

I've had my PS2 for some time now. Like last Christmas sometime...I think. Well anyway it was a christmas present and out of all things I never got a warranty with it. I asked the person that I got it from and I don't think I'll be seeing a warranty anytime soon, even if I did it would be too late by now.

I had the same problem..
I opened my ps2 up and cleaned the lens...with cue-tip and lens cleaner..
alls good now
