WinDVD Creator 2 doesn't appear to recognize I have a camcorder when I am trying to capture video from it. I'm using a Sony model DCR-TRV120 via a firwire connection. I suspect the culprit may be that I'm using Windows 98SE. Does anyone know?

    Thanks,
    James

i think that could be why ????

if u had winxp with sp1, then installed sp2, it would be a reason why you dont have capture using firewire, as sp2 corrupted sp1 firewire drivers when sp2 was installed over the top of sp1.

i fixed my firewire drivers by re-installing winxp pro with sp2 only, so did lots of other people.

can u upgrade to winxp at all, or u got an older system.....GLEN
