Hi all I just purchased a Sony DRU-710A DVD burner,it came with Nero software. I went to Nero's site and upgraded to Nero 6. I did all upgrades as well. I thought i would try to burn photos thinking that this might be easier . LOL I tried to burn an mpeg as well but to no avail Keeps giving me error while transcoding or it just plain stops transcoding and opens up Nero express like i am starting all over again. I will post error message in the hopes somebody can help I have spent hours doing this!!! I have tried memorex DVD+Rw , thinking it may be the disk, i purchased a Sony DVD+RW and it does the exact same thing. Please help as i am a NEWBIE Thanks to all! You may want to check whether you have set up the burner correctly. A good place to start is to run 'Get System Info' and 'Test Drive' in Nero. Good luck!
Ok, i tried to test drive and when i go to Start , on drive test, I am not sure if it is correct or not, but it says (Cannot simulate with this type of disc. Please use the create data disc function to measure the write performance.) I am using a Sony DVD+RW Thank you
Well, if you're using a RW, why not create a data disk as suggested with Nero, and test the write function as instructed? Also, did you check the settings with 'Get System Info'?
