Well my understanding is that halo 2 was too big for just 1 game so they cut it in half. They also did this to make more money.(Greedy Bastards) Haven't they made enough?

i think the same, halo 3 is going to be just like halo 2. like i said before in my thread that i made halo 2 has hints that there will be halo 3. what i heard is that theyre waiting till xbox next comes out to release halo 3 so that they can get a head start on selling more consoles than ps3.

I think haloxbox is right bout the split apart thing but in reality i dont think they would be makin much more money by spliting the discs in two. if they gave us both discs they would probably raise the price to 100 dollars instead of the 50 dollars.

Are you guys slow? The game is no where near full, it was not split in half. If you knew bungie, bungie loves trilogies. Most of there games are 3 part series. This was done on purpose. Halo 2 was not cut short, there was enough space on the game for way more, the game was only 4.7 gb big or so, they have an extra 4gb left of space to put stuff in. So that reason is ruled out, it's not due to lack of space. They just wanted a trilogy, they love trilogies.

yeah i see what u mean. halo kind of reminds me of the lord of the rings. the first one had u unbelievably awed. the second was better, but for some reason the first was more satisfying. now the third will be so unbelievably good that youll wish it wouldnt end

it actually was split, there was an article I think in IGN about it. it wasnt about the size, it was about the popularity and trying to 1up the PS3 for the xbox2. The word is, yes, there is plans for a trilogy, and it is already over a year in devolpment. Their first task was to convert the remainder of Halo2 to the new system, then expand on the story (with the Evil Cortana twist). Just like the launch of first xbox, they are going to use Halo 3 as the hook to get the new system, but with a more agressive push because they know this game would be an easy sell.

It was Bungie's intention to launch Halo 2 as masive game, but it was the higher-ups at Microsoft to wanted to split the game in two.

If you ask me, the game will be sweet. I thing the covenent will team up with the marines and have massive war against the Brutes and some evil spartan army that is led by the evil Cortana, ala the battle of the last Alliance in Lord of the Rings.

First of all, spell my name right. The game wasn't split, the cliffhanger ending WAS done purposely. Like I said, I have a modded xbox, the normal dvd that is used for the xbox is dual-layered, which means it holds up to 8.5GB. Only 4.8gb or so, is used for the game. The game was not split, that is my proof. I don't need to know someone from bungie, to have common sense. Bungie loves trilogies, most of there games have been trilogies, except for oni.

uhh i disagree with the whole covenant siding with the humans. i think the ELITES will sign with us humans and we will wage war with very advanced flood. the prophets will all be dead by the end and we will be forced to activate the halos. thats my theory

This is why I think the Covenant will join up with the Marines. First off, not all of the covenant, Remember the Convenant Splits up in the Halo 2 story. The Elites, Grunts, and Hunters on one side and the Jackels, Brutes, Drones, and Profits are on the other. So I think the Elite side joins the Marines to stop the others. An advanced flood seems posible though.

I really think with Cortana going evil makes a lot more posibilities for an evil spartan army. Because she is the all knowing AI, She would give the Convenant the plans on how to make spartans out of the Flood or even captured humans or something like that. Imagine the Master Chief or the Arbitor having to go against that. That would be insane!

Having them join forces would be cool because it would totally change the element of the game. There could be so many new things that can be done; like have a co-op game where one person could be Master Chief and the other be Arbitor, or at the beginning of every level you can choose to fight as the arbitor or Master Cheif and with your decision could possibly change the plot of the game. It would be sweet!

well cortana realy didnt go evil when she answered the graveminds questions. its not like she would giv him anything of any use. and the evil spartan thing the covenant wouldnt need spartans in there armies. they could be able to take out earth if the actualy stayed in their ships and actually tried to fight in their fleet. but the evil spartan thing would be damn awsome
