Maxtor GB harddrive

    Hello :D

    I just got a maxtor 7200 rpm 300 gb hard drive in hopes of modding my x box...but i heard that you have to do something special when putting on a hd thats bigger than 120. can anyone help me out ?

    you will have to get a bios that supports the G drive (partition 7). If you use an executer2 bios you will have to get one that ends with a .67. And then after you will have to format the G dive,most autoloaders have the feature included.

    i only use .06 not .67 and its worked fine for max250
    i dont see a need for a g drive
    the only thing you will need is a recent bios
    i'm using 4981.06
