Hi there,im new to all this burning and stuff,i have a question. I downloaded a Movie, and it plays fine on my PC,but when i want to burn to disc,im having trouble. In AVIcodec it says its an avi file it says the video is MP43=MS MPEG4 V3 The movie is in two parts,so i tried using MPEG VCR to join the parts, but it just opens womble MPEG audio player, but you cant hear anything. Ive tried opening the files in VirtualDub,but i get this message Couldnt locate decompressor for format MP43(microsoft high speed MPEG4 V3) virtualdub requires a video for windows (vfw)compatible codec to deconpress video. Direct show codecs such as those used by windows media player are not suitable. And in TMPGEnc it says cant open or unsupported. As i said,im new to all this,so what can i do? does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks in advance (P.S) Ive tried searching the forums and guides for ideas, but to no avail)
you will need a program that will convert mpeg 4 files to mpeg 2 format(dvd format) before you can burn it to disc.Try something like DVDsanta or even river past software.(video cleaner) http://www.riverpast.com/
Either of these should have the codec needed to open those files. Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec Pack. http://www.undercut.org/msmpeg4/ MP43 MS-MPEG-4v3 codec fix (Win9x/NT4) mpegfix.zip Un-zip and rightclick on the file MPG4INST.INF and select INSTALL from the context menu. http://www.moviecodec.com/download/mpegfix.zip
