Ok i just checked out the .avi to dvd-r guide and it didn't work when i tried to burn the dvd it gave me the following error saying it can't reside in this folder only the .vob files etc. can. I was wondering how do a burn the home movie to a playable DVD-R? I have both a .avi and a mpeg of it uploaded and am using NERO. ANy help would be appreciated.
Hi nd595, So you have converted the AVI to MPEG2 format? You're half way there. (Well...maybe 33%) I am assuming you tried to drag the MPEG into the VIDEO_TS folder? And hence the error you got? Which guide did you use? It sounds like you missed a step which converts the MPEG to VOB files. There are multiple programs which do this...DVD Lab ...IFOEdit ...etc. Go back to the guide and check. NVE is another option...which will do the file conversion & DVD writing for you. Adder.
