i am looking something under $225...any suggestions and what type of brand media should i use...i also dont want to pay alot on media. Thanks, bayarea_f
I presume your looking for one for your computer as opposed to a standalone dvd-recorder. After ALOT of research i bought the every popular and reliable Pioneer 108(aka A08) along with Datawrite grey 8x media. I have also heard that the Lacie is quite a good model - though i would stay away from the Sony DRU.
i actually do have a pioneer dvd burner for my computer but i am lookin for a console dvd recorder.......is those ilo any good dvd recorders??
Not too sure - Standalone DVD burners are something I know little about - I refer U to these links: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/134963 http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/129037 www.videohelp.com The last link has alot of user reports if u search for a particular drive/media u should get some feedback. However i believe that even though some of these drives are region free they are not macrovision free and you'll need an external clarifier/de-macrovision box to make it work. If you do get kit such as this i'd be interested to hear how the picture/sound quality compares with your pioneer writer.
