I recently received my Pioneer DVR-108 for Christmas. As far as burning DVD's, I have yet to have a problem. My problem is ripping movies. I have seen this matter posted on the site but I am still having problems. I have installed the hacked firmware (version 1.14). It did unlock the 2x rip lock, but I can only get it to rip as high as 5.6x. I understand the option of using a 16x dvd-rom drive to rip, but I'd rather try to fix the 108 rather than go that route. In RecordNow, the rip speed is normal (6-7 min), but when I use Shrink or DVDXCopy Express, it takes about 25-40 minutes to rip. My drives are set to DMA and I am out of options. Any clues to what I can do to increase my rip speed? Any help is appreciated!
