Is the Ps2 Neo3 v2.2 good?

#1 03 Dec 2002 @ 19:05
I read on the modchipinc.com page that said that the Neo3 v2.2 can actually read ps2 dvd backups and is only $10. So I was wondering if anyone here can shed some light on the matter of the chip, as in is it any good can it read dvd base backups? and so on...

Well this it what i read:

NEO3 PlayStation2 ModChip Features

Allows you to play PS1 backups (direct boot)
Allows you to play CD-R backups (single swap)
Allows you to play DVD-R backups (single swap)
Just solder in 8 wires
Play Import and Copied games
Play PS2 and PSX Originals
All wires are color coded for easy installation
Fully compatible with every Japan, USA, UK and AU PS2!!

It also says that it works only in the new PS2.
So first find out what version PS2 you have.
Look up more information on the Net about this Neo 3 2.2 and then make a choice.

No, do you think it will work, i was just affraid that it would do the same thing if i got a modchip and just play the sound track.

To play copies of any kind you need a modchip..
