burning downloaded movies?

    i have a movie which i got off the internet. I want to know how i would burn it to a dvd-r disc.im dumb so i need step by step instructions for each program. the movie is 435, 882kb and has a resolution of 640x448. Also which programs do i need and where do i get them from.

    the file will need to be re convertered to an mpeg2 then re authored using something along the lines of tmpgenc dvd author

    i would i reformat it to mpeg2? do i use something like dvd decrypter?

    if its avi look for an avi2mpeg converter
    if it wmv (win media ) wmv2mpeg
    same goes for if its asf/mov etc

    however if its mpeg 4 you will need to convert it back to mpeg 2 before you re author it.

    Have a look at cucsofts avi2mpeg/dvd santa/riverpast video cleaner.: all can be searched through GOOGLE.

    have you got avicodec ,run your file through that and post your results
