GTA: Vice City Back-up?

Hi

I jus need some advice and help. One of my dad's mates made a copy of GTA: Vice City on DVD-R. Lookin around, it doesn't need a patch to get it to work.

I have modded-PS2ed by completely unaware on what chip it is. It's a chip which doesn't need any swapping to play games. I can play copied PS1 and PS2 CD-Rs no problem.

But when puttin this DVD-R in my, PS" it can't read it and load it. Makes loads of funny noises and then comes up with put in a PS2 CD. Putting this CD in my DVD-Rom drive is fine. All the stuff is there.

What's wrong?

Any help would b appriciative.
I have no info on how it was copied.

My mate copied this game last night, all he did was a straight copy with the supplied software. Worked fine.

what media dvdr was used? use a good quality media!!!

was it burn`t at 1x speed - although can get away with 2x speed

use primoDVD v 2.0 > build global image > then burn it

how do u bulid global media, and is primo the same type of thing as nero. Does it have directions to copying the ps2 game on a dvd-r?
