Please advise what quide to read.

    Hello everybody,

    Thanks for the great forum. I am trying to familirize myself with the quides and FAQs before posting but even those are overwhelming for my present level.

    Please advise what sections of the Guides (DIV-x or DVD-R) and article(s) should I read if for now what I need is to be able to burn downloaded (BigTorrent or Overnet) movies to DVDs (regular and dual layer). To the best of my knowledge those are avi and mpg files. I would prefer those that would give the best picture quality.

    Also a reference to DVD-burning software ratings would be appreciated.

    Sorry, just do not see the "Edit" button but would like to specify;

    I need to download DVD qualty files (not sure that avis are those that I need) and to burn them on DVD that is readable by other media not ony PC, which is probably MPEG-2 files.
