saving my fav dvd to my coputer

    hi everyone i wonder if anyone can tell me how to save my fav dvd to my pc i am running windows home xp thanking you (barry)

    lets get this straight...
    you have a dvd movie,did you mean you want to make a duplicate dvd or just save it to your hardrive?or both

    there are lots of different software you can use.
    try using dvd shrink.or dvd decrypter.both are freeware.which you can download from this site.
    once ripped,you can also burn a copy with decrypter.

    Greetings and welcome to AD. I suggest [bold]reading[/bold] some of the Guides here at AD. They are VERY informative and contain a wealth of information on various Burning, encoding, ripping techniques and so much more. Simply click the "Guides" link at the top of the page.

    Let me ask this: After you get your movie onto your HD, I'm assuming you would like to burn it back to a disc, correct? As Hursty stated, two of the [bold]BEST[/bold] freeware proggy's you can use are DVD Decrypter, which rips the disc to your HD; and DVD Shrink, which can also rip but is used primarily to compress a large disc on to a smaller one. Both are invaluable tools. Just check the guides section. Cheers!
