   When I am encoding the movie that I ripped to my hard drive it stops 1/4 of the way through and the sound is stuck. I can't get the program to do anything. What am I doing wrong?

   You didn't give many details (HDD size, software your using, the codec etc). If you don't give these details, the question can not be answered.
