Ok im a newbie and been thru dozens of websites. Some say u can start ps games both backups 1 and 2 on ps2 without modchip but u have to have gameshark 2 ps2. I just copied a compact disc ps1 with cdrwin (exact copy) method and booting does not work. Here is what i did:
1.took cd tray off to see white tab
2.started game with gameshark and mem card
3.start w/out codes
4.moved white tab to right, pulled cd tray out and exchanged disc
5.move tab back to left and hit start

But it did not boot. I do not plan on booting up this way forever just want to test my skills at burnin until magic2 chip arrives. I have ps2 ver7. Could someone please tell me if u can really boot this way or is it impossible. Am i doin it wrong?

Any imput greatly appreciated. Thanks
Wizkid
