I saw a posting how to change PIO to DMA to see if this helps slow shrink. Over the last few days mine has been taking as long as 2 half hours or more to do. it takes 3 min to analize but longer and longer to back up. burning with nero 6 don't take long but the shrinking bit is the problem But I have windows ME but cant find IDE-ATA/AT API I can find the icon for my burner easily enough and DMA is checked but I cant find any of the other bits like properties and advance settings tab or current transfer mode, or PIO only am I in the right place. My computer, device manager, I get a long list but no IDE_ATA thingy or is this only in windows XP? can anyone shed some light on this?
