I have a psx 2 with non swap chip in it it`s a version 5 . And my psx 1 games that are copied won`t work in the psx 2 machine and someone please help me thanks

Your modchip may require a gameshark 1 or action replay 1 to boot psx games.

once i was browsing around & met with a program where it allows u to play psx copied games on ps2 but since i don't have any writer (yet) i didn't give it much importance.....i forgot where....if i remember i'll tell u but if u make a search on d net i'm sure u'll be able to find it

Ye you could be right. After all a no swap modchip would certainly read a downloaded boot disk!

Mayby you should try this, because the startup procedure for PS1 backups is a bit different from starting up a PS2 copy:

PS1 games

Press EJECT button to switch on the machine.
Insert PSX game in tray, then press and hold RESET button to switch off machine.
Now hold the RESET button to start up your machine. Only release the RESET button once you see the first power on screen on your TV. ie hold RESET button for like 4-5 seconds
Your PSX game should now boot. (If it shows the PSX game as an audio cd. This means that you didn't hold the RESET button long enough.)
