back up question

    i just got my viper modchip and i tried burning my original game but it wont read the gc game.i've been reading and i guess there burned different.is there a program that will allow me to burn an exact copy of my original game? thanks

    no as a dvd rom cant read a gamecube disk. you need to use an iso streamed from a gc using the BB adaptor

    A DVD ROM drive can indeed read a GameCube disc, you need a program called Clone CD, you can download a free trial version from http://www.slysoft.com/en/clonecd.html

    It will take at least 12 hours to read the GameCube game, but I tried it out last night and I got my Animal Crossing copied to my desktop. It will take about 5 minutes to read 1% of it, so be patient.

    ok i used clonecd and didnt get an iso. instead i got 3 files,image.001,image.002,and image.dvd.did i do something wrong?

    you were lucky your drive even sees the disc. Due to the fact that the TOC is in the wrong place mosts dvd rom drives will say they are waiting for disc or even error.

    there is talk of a hacked bios to allow reading of gc discs but I will still stay where I am and say its not possible.

    You CAN copy a disc you have already burnt from an image no problem,just as easily as a normal cd but NOT an ORIGINAL.
