Installing a new hard drive with evolution X

    Ok, I am not asking how to do it since I don't have a new hard drive, or evolution X yet..

    but I want to, and I'm curious, if I get evolution X dashboard and I get an upgraded hard drive.. can I still copy original games to the xbox AND play them if I
    NEVER INSTALL A MODCHIP?

    the box will have to be modded somehow ,installing a chip or a tsop flash
