Home Movie DVD converting help

    System: p4 2.8 gig, 512mb ram 120gig hd
    Via usb i was downloading digital home movie from my sony camcorder to PC. The software ULEAD movie factory 2 will work fine for 10 minutes of downloading then the downloaded video starts recording only frame by frame. Any advice on alternate software-I would like to do some video editing and effects, ulead has the features i want but it always sticks. Thanks for any help.

    I like the Sonic RecordNow software that was included with my Dell. I don't have any experience with any other DVD creation software, so I might be jumping the gun a little. I just like how it allows for animated backgrounds and chapter lists that use video clips from your video as chapter buttons. It looks like a real dvd when I'm finished. I am working on a friend's high school championship field hockey game. It's coming along great with Sonic.

    Now, only if I can get it off my computer and onto a disc...
