Need Original Disk?

    Hi,
    I hoping someone can answer this with a yes or a no!

    If I buy the viper chip can I just burn a gamecube .iso file straight onto a mini dvd and boot?

    I have heard you need to boot with the original disk then swap it over with the backup. But what would be the point in that as I backup to keep my originals from any damage.

    You can use and GC original disk to boot it up. Then swap with the backup.
