My sons have a PS2 and we have it hooked up through the front jack of the VCR. Games work fine, however when we put in a DVD movie the picture rolls and goes from good to bad and back over and over. Has anyone else had the problem and if so how do i fix it. And could it be casued by hooking it up throgh the VCR.

I had that same problem with a PS2 when they first came to market. The early PS2 needed an upgrade to
correctly play DVD games and movies.

Have you tried a DVD game to see if it works? I know that Grand Turismo3 is a DVD based game and it would not play on my PS2 until it was upgraded by Sony. I think it was a flat fee of $200.
