dvdxcopy platinum going straight to finalize

I have dvdxcopy platinum and have been using it for several months with no major problem (other than the odd burned dvd would freeze up during playback).

Now when I try to copy a dvd, it will read the dvd fine but during write, it will write for only a couple of minutes and then go right to finalize leaving me with a coaster. Can anyone help me with this problem? thanks a lot
