Back up my dvds

    I am a college student who does not have much knowlege about computers. I have a Compaq Presario 2100 laptop that is capable of burning music, but I am unsure if dvds. I would like to know if there is anybody who can help me out. I would like to know exactly what I need to buy in order to do this.     no posting e-mails, go to my computer and look at the drive if it says dvd-rw or something like that. You will need a program like dvd shirnk or nero to copy dvds.
