I have a softmodded 1.6 xbox and I have the Evox dashboard, now if I go to the MS Dash or anything should I fear being banned from LIVE? Is there some kind of safety system against mistakes like this or can I put one on myself?
Yes you'll be banned. IF you softmod your XBOX the Hacked code is on the original Bios Chip.. Microsoft can detect this ;-) What you can do is unsoftmod your XBOX - Play live and softmod it again if you want to play backups.. This is how it is ..
Okay so like I booted the MS Dash and it gave me an error message connecting to LIVE! I've had the message before but very rarely, it says something like "Error Connecting to Xbox Live please try again later" im really freaked, this can't mean I was banned can it? It would tell you right?
OK the reason why your getting this error is becaues when you loaded your dashboard it changed your IP settings to Satic. If you go though a router with your network it needs to be set at automatic or DHCP.
I have a softmodded xbox and a standard 8 gig hdd. Can I play live games if I boot an original game with the power off, or do I need to completely remove the softmod? How do I remove the softmod?

Hey, If anyone has the autoupdate 4 (for Halo 2) on an ftp enabled Xbox, then most of us will be able to get back on Halo 2 Live. I removed all of my Halo 2 modded content, but am still unable to get on Live for Halo 2. Every other Live game works. If anyone has the autoupdate 4 file, please send it to me.
