Do all dvd camcorders only record in the -r or -rw format ?If not which camcorder (brand name)records in +r/+rw format.

I don't think your question is a valid question; I mean that you shouldn't worry about it.

Most all DV camcorders record first to DV tape. How you burn it, whether to CD-, CD+, or DVD, is independent of the camera.

The question is about "DVD" camcorders. I was just looking at buying one and if you look at the specs on the new sony products they are -r,+r and rw compatible. Some other brands are using DVD ram.Check the specs on the manufacturers websites for more detail.

My suggestion: don't even consider buying a DVD camera. Go for miniDV. They offer better quality and if you want to make DVD's form your shots, this can easily be done afterwards...
