No it is an olympus Anyway Could it be that I am tring to burn a DVD-R on a DVD+R Burner? Also is there anyway to fix the problem you mentioned?
Does your burner support both + and - formats? What is brand and model # of your burner? What brand and speed are those dvd-r's?
When I bought the computer it sayed it only burned DVD+R but I have burned a few DVD-Rs. I am not sure what dvd burner it came with the Compaq Presario 3360us notebook. I am using a crappy brand of DVD-Rs but they have worked fine for me before.
Go into Device Manager and under DVD/CD-Rom it will give you the information you need. Then when you have that info go to this site: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters and enter the data and you will then see what other blank media others have used and if they had any problems. Then start using that blank media. Your problem looks like bad blank media so try not to use the rock bottom price DVD's
If the computer says to burn only dvd+r I would stick with that media. Some +r burners can be made to burn -r media after a firmware flash but if you didn't do that I would only use +r blanks. The rings look like the data was starting and stopping during the burn process. Were you able to watch the buffer while burning. Maybe check to see if the burner drive is set to DMA in you device manager. These are all just a guess and some suggestions. Jerry
