I have a Sony DRU-530A dvd+-rw drive and have been burning dvd-r's to back my ps2 games up for a while, but all of a sudden, my drive can't write, it can only read. I tried burning an image file using Alcohol 120% and after about a minute, it kicks my blank dvd out of the drive and says that there is an error. Can anyone help me? thanks
try cleaning the lens with a cd/dvd disk cleaner, uninstall the burning program, defrag the hd than reinstall the burning program
I had the same problem. Go to this link http://sony.storagesupport.com/dvdrw/downloads.htm and download the firmware upgrade 2.1G. Fixed mine right up. Hope it works for you.
