torrents off my PC to my xbox, HELP!!!

wow i really need help doing this, I downloaded an xbox game off of a torrent site, I know some about computers, so u dont have to talk to me like im stupid, i just need some help.

hmm first of all i dont think its very advisable to be talking a bout torrent downloads and tranferring them to your xbox in a place like this , its people like you that alert the general public to what torrents are and are responsible for getting torrents taken off the internet. hmm but ill help you anyway. if you have downloaded a torrent off of a site either what you have downloaded is the iso of a xbox game or the folder of the game consisting of the default.xbe and the game data. if what you have is the iso you simply burn the iso onto a dvd-r (if u wanna be safe burn at slowest speed) and pop it into your xbox and it should work, of course for any copied game to work you need a modded xbox.
now, if you have a folder of a game then its a lottle bit more complicated. you can either get a took that constructs xbox isos from your game folder or you can ftp your game folder on the the part of your xbox hdd that stores games , ofrinstance, on my xb hdd the partition that stores games is the f: and the games are in /hddloader/ so i would rename the game folder pxgame(whatever is the next number) and ftp the game over so the file path would read f:/hddloader/pxgameX

i had a feeling it wasnt very good of me to post that kinda stuff, but the files that i downloaded are RAR files, that it says i have to extract, but then it tells me that it doent know the format

 

You're not supposed to open the .iso with WinRAR (even though it has a winrar icon beside it). Extract it to somewhere on your computer, and then burn it with any .iso burning software.

 

the file is a xiso it defaults to a winrar file even though it cant be opened by winrar. I recommend using C-Xbox . its a very good iso xtraction program , C-xbox also offers ftp but it isnt good at all. use C-Xbox to extract the xiso to the game folder and rename the game folder PxGameX(whatever number is next) then use a ftp program to ftp it to the proper folder in your xbox.. see my last post for more details

 

great. thanks. i extracted it and then FTP'd it onto my xbox using FTP surfer, it works well until the main menu, right after the intro it says there is a problem with the disc u are using. i know i have every file, did i do anything wrong?

hope u dont mind me imposin in ur question, but i am also having probs.
i have downloaded the game torrent in winrar format, which extracts another winrar, which i now know is not winrar and needs a program like c xbox to b changed.
i have extracted the iso which gives me a folder with the same name as the game i am trying to convert, this folder contains numerous folders i.e content. what do i do with this data to make it a game disk? i have tryed making a data copy using nero, when the sed disc is im ny xbox it will not load.
any help would be great, bit confused as i only had my xbox chipped last week so am fairly new. cheers

 

ok, to answer sahin. I'm not really sure i havent ever gotten that msg... i would look over all the files and make sure all the folder sizes are the same, amount of files is correct and you do have the default.xbe, you said the game starts up? and then said its dirty or damaged...hmm..maybe you could have gotten a bad copy of the game. if all else fails try going to your xbox file explorer (on your xbox) and launch the default.xbe from there. that worked for me when i did DOAU but that game has special protection.

and to answer davester, the winrar folder that you converted to the game folder could be straight burned on to a dvd disk. when you made the folders and burned a data disk it looses the unique form of an xbox game that dosent allow it to be read by computers. SO, either burn the xiso ( the second rar file you got) or as i said above, ftp the files over directly to your xbox. there are many threads on how to connect so read around.thats how i learned!
